Pastor Tracie Millard was born and raised in Abbeville, Louisiana. She received a B.S. Degree in Business and Human Resource Management from the University of Louisiana (formerly called University of Southwestern Louisiana), post graduate training from Trinity College in Washington, D.C., teaching certification for secondary education from the state of Maryland, and a Diploma of Ministerial Studies from Crenshaw Christian Center’s Minister’s Training Program under the leadership of Apostle Frederick K.C. Price in Los Angeles, California where she was the outstanding scholar and gave the graduation address to over seven thousand attendees. Her career in education spans from 1997 to 2005. During this time she was a mathematics and business teacher at both Surrattsville and Largo High Schools, Prince Georges County, Maryland, where she also served as School to Community Liaison, Senior Class Sponsor and, Girls Softball Coach. During her tenure as a teacher she was awarded several honors for educational excellence.
Pastor Tracie has been involved in some capacity of ministry all of her life. She was raised in church and taught, by her mother, that consistency in attending church, and commitment and loyalty to kingdom principles should always be the governing force for her life. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour at the age of eight and was filled with Holy Spirit at age fourteen. At age nineteen, in her college dorm room, she heard the audible voice of God call her into the ministry. Pastor Tracie believes that for every call of God, purpose or assignment, there is a preparation, posturing and positioning period to successfully fulfill the call of God on your life.
She has been serving in some capacity of leadership in ministry for the past twenty five years. In 2005 she left the field of secondary education to fulfill the call to full time ministry. Prior to her relocation to Louisiana she was employed with Spirit of Faith Christian Center for seven years, where her pastor is Dr. Michael A. Freeman. At Spirit of Faith, in her role as associate pastor, she served on the pastoral staff and is affectionately known as Pastor Tracie. She was the Executive Administrator in the Office of Operations responsible for the organization and oversight of over fifty ministries, full time employees, and the daily human resource functions. From 2000 to 2007 she also worked for the Spirit of Faith Bible Institute where she served as the first year dean, third year dean and Curriculum Director overseeing biblical instruction and monitoring student progress. She and her family have been members of Spirit of Faith for seventeen years.
She has been married to her wonderful husband Derrick for twenty four years, and has two beautiful children, Derrick II and Kirstin, who are both leaders and high academic achievers. Derrick II is twenty two, an honors graduate from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and is founder and CEO of Dream Live Movement, a conglomerate of ministries focusing on ministry and the arts, a gifted and talented actor, and a worship leader traveling extensively spreading the Word in song and art form. Kirstin is nineteen and a junior, on the dean’s list, at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA. She is pursing a degree in business and entrepreneurship and plans to own her own company and non-profit organization that focuses on building positive self-image in young girls. Pastor Tracie and Derrick Millard believe that God calls families to ministry and have raised their children to pursue God’s purpose for their lives.
She believes that every person, when given the opportunity, can and will excel when they are taught to believe in themselves and to believe that anything is possible with God. Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
